What is this site?
This is an unofficial reference for EAPCET (formerly EAMCET) engineering last ranks, covering both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The data is compiled from official last-rank publications by TGCHE (tgeapcet.nic.in) for Telangana and APSCHE (eapcet-sche.aptonline.in) for Andhra Pradesh. We are not affiliated with either council; always confirm with the official portals before making counselling decisions.
How do I read a 'last rank' here?
The last rank (closing rank) is the EAPCET rank of the final candidate allotted a seat in that college, branch, category and gender pool in that phase. If your rank is numerically smaller than or equal to the last rank, a candidate at your rank got that seat that year. The councils publish ranks only, so there are no marks-based cutoffs in this data.
What do the category codes mean?
OC is Open Category (unreserved). BC_A through BC_E are the five Backward Classes sub-groups used in both Telugu states (A: most backward groups, B, C, D, and E: backward Muslim groups). SC is Scheduled Caste, ST is Scheduled Tribe, and EWS is Economically Weaker Section (appearing in recent Telangana data). Your BC sub-group is fixed by your caste certificate, so read only your own column.
Why does every category have BOYS and GIRLS versions?
Both states reserve a share of seats in each category for women, so the councils publish separate last ranks for BOYS and GIRLS (for example OC_BOYS and OC_GIRLS). GIRLS last ranks are often more relaxed because of the reservation, but girls also compete for the general seats. Boys should read the BOYS column; girls should check both columns and use the better one.
Are Andhra Pradesh and Telangana cutoffs separate?
Yes, completely. Since the 2014 bifurcation, AP EAPCET (APSCHE) and TG EAPCET (TGCHE) are separate exams with separate counselling, separate college code systems and separate last-rank files. On this site every cutoff row is tagged AP or TG, and a college code is only meaningful within its own state.
What are the counselling phases, and do last ranks change across them?
Counselling typically runs in phases: Phase 1, Phase 2, then a final phase, and sometimes a special or spot phase. Last ranks usually relax in later phases as candidates exit to IITs, NITs or other options, though top branches at colleges like JNTUH or CBIT may barely move. Where the councils published phase-wise files (mainly recent Telangana years), we show each phase; the year-level figure is the final available phase.
Which years does this site cover?
Coverage is uneven because the two councils publish irregularly. We have: 2012 (united AP, before bifurcation), 2015 AP, 2019 TG, 2020 both AP and TG, 2021 TG, 2022 AP, and 2023-2025 TG. Telangana coverage is strongest for recent years with phase-wise data from 2023 onward.
Why is a year missing for my state?
Some files were never made public or are locked away. TG 2022 last ranks were not published anywhere we could find, and AP 2023-2025 last ranks sit behind a login-gated portal, so they are not yet in our data. Also, the 2012 file predates the AP/Telangana bifurcation, so it reflects the united Andhra Pradesh and its college list.
Why does AP 2022 show only OC, SC and ST columns?
The AP 2022 source file we obtained carries last ranks only for OC, SC and ST; the BC sub-group columns were not present in that publication. So for AP 2022, BC candidates should treat the OC column as an upper bound and check APSCHE's portal for their sub-group. This is a source limitation, not a parsing choice.
Can I compare my AP rank against a TG college's last rank (or vice versa)?
No. The two states run separate exams with separate rank lists, and non-local candidates face different eligibility rules in each state's counselling. Only compare your rank within the state whose exam you wrote, and check that state's local/non-local rules if you studied outside it.
Can last year's last rank predict this year's?
It is a reasonable starting point but not a promise. Last ranks move with the number of test-takers, seat matrix changes, new CSE/AI seats, and fee revisions; lower-demand branches can swing by tens of thousands of ranks. Look at multi-year trends for the same college-branch-category where our coverage allows, and fill web options across a wide, safe range.
A category-gender cell is blank for a college. What does that mean?
It means no seat was allotted in that exact combination in that phase, usually because no seat existed or it was converted to another category during allotment. You may still get the college through the OC column, since reserved-category candidates are first considered on open merit.
Are management quota (B-category) seats covered?
No. The councils' last-rank files cover only convener quota (A-category) seats filled through official web counselling. Management/NRI (B-category) seats are filled directly by colleges and have no published last ranks.
How should I verify a last rank before acting on it?
Check the official last-rank search on tgeapcet.nic.in for Telangana or the APSCHE counselling portal for Andhra Pradesh for the same year, phase, college and category. The councils sometimes republish corrected files, and district or college-code details come from the source's own columns. This site is an unofficial convenience; the council portals are the authority.
